Thames and field is a metal detecting society that brings both Thames and field under one roof for its monthly meetings. On hand at each meeting will be members from the society of Thames Mudlarks for there expert knowledge on finds and tips etc. Talks will also be given by them on eyes only searching, scrapping, bottle hunting and of course detector work on the Thames. The field side has some already well-known members who have had many finds now housed in museums all over the country. OHIO: North Coast Historical Recovery Association

Established in 1989, the North Coast Historical Recovery Association is a club dedicated to the hobby of metal detecting and treasure hunting. The North Coast Historical Recovery Association meets at 7:00 PM the second Tuesday of every month at the Painesville Baptist Church. The church is located on SR 84 about 1/4 mile east of SR 44, and is on the north side of SR 84. Our meetings are open to the public and we invite you to attend. There isn't an admission charge. The Metal Detecting Association of Washington was started to promote, protect and preserve recreational metal detecting here, in the State of Washington. Some of the concerns related to detecting in this state are unique to the Pacific Northwest. As a group we strive to work with hobbyists, in clubs or not, who want to enjoy metal detecting, follow the rules set down about the hobby and in some cases help to change thoses rules. The MDAW works in cooperation with the Office of Historical and Archaeological Preservation of Washington State and Washington State Parks
